A Parent’s Reflection on I.FLY Trapeze Summer Camp

Last summer, I was on a mission. Like so many parents, I wanted to find a summer camp that was more than just a place to keep my child busy. We’d tried other camps before—some sports-focused, some general day camps—but every year, I came away feeling like my kid hadn’t really grown. They had fun, sure. But I wanted more for them. I wanted something that would light them up from the inside out.

That’s when I stumbled across I.FLY Trapeze and their Circus Arts Camp. I didn’t quite know what to expect—aerial silks? flying trapeze? lyra?—but I figured, why not?

What happened over the next two weeks completely exceeded anything I had hoped for.

From day one, my child was immersed in a world of movement, creativity, and self-discovery. They learned how to climb and pose on aerial silks, spin with strength and grace on a lyra hoop, and even fly through the air on a full-size flying trapeze rig. Every day was filled with new challenges and small victories—and with every climb, catch, and flip, I watched their confidence soar.

But it wasn’t just about the physical skills (though wow, the strength and flexibility they developed was impressive). The emotional growth was even more profound. They learned how to face fear. How to fall and get back up. How to trust others—and themselves. They collaborated with kids of all backgrounds, made new friendships, and discovered the incredible feeling of being part of something big.

And then came the final show.

I’ll admit, I expected a casual end-of-camp performance—some group demos, maybe a few cute tricks. What we got instead was a full-on production. Costumes. Music. Lights. Each camper had their own act, carefully choreographed and coached by passionate, professional instructors. It wasn’t just a “recital.” It was a real circus show—full of joy, energy, and that indescribable spark that happens when kids truly believe in themselves.

My child wasn’t pretending to be in the circus. They were in the circus.

What I.FLY Trapeze offers is so much more than a camp. It’s a place where kids put down their phones, step away from screens, and reconnect with their bodies and imaginations. They’re not watching someone else do something cool—they’re the ones up there doing it. They’re building strength, resilience, teamwork, and creativity—all while having the time of their lives.

If you’re a parent like me—wanting more than just a summer distraction—give this camp a serious look. I.FLY Trapeze isn’t just about circus arts. It’s about helping kids grow in every way that matters. And I promise, the look on your child’s face when they take that final bow? It’ll be something you’ll never forget.

Trust me—this will be the summer your child soars !
